The Executive of the Commissioned Officers’ Association (COA) is pleased to announce the 2018 President’s Ball being held Saturday May 5, 2018 in the Blue Mountain Village at the Blue Mountain Resort, 108 Jozo Weider Blvd., Blue Mountains, Ontario L9Y 3Z2. We are looking forward to this annual event, and extend a special welcome to newly commissioned officers and those senior managers and guests who are attending the President’s Ball for the first time.

This resort is located between the shores of Georgian Bay and the slopes of the Niagara Escarpment. It is a 90-minute drive from Toronto, and approximately one hour from the Barrie/Orillia area. Driving directions can be located here: https://www.bluemountain.ca/plan-your-trip/getting-here

The Village is home to 40 restaurants, bars and shops. The Mosaic, where suites will be booked, features an on-site dining room, spa, free area shuttle, swimming pools, and fitness facilities. There is free self-parking and covered garage parking for an additional fee. The Mosaic is located at the entrance of Water Street in the Blue Mountain Village just steps from the Conference Centre. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m.

Friday May 4 Evening Hospitality – Village Pub Night

For those guests arriving on Friday evening a “Pub Night” has been arranged which will commence at 6:00 p.m. The evening will be casual and fun, and an excellent time to “mingle and linger” and enjoy the good food, beverages and most importantly-the company.

The “pub night” is a facilitated walking tour including three venues. The last venue is the largest, with live entertainment, where the group can remain to enjoy the rest of the evening. Some light snacks will be included and there is a charge of $25 per person for this event.

Saturday May 5: Daytime

Saturday May 5: Evening

The main event is the President’s Ball on Saturday. The Reception will commence at 5:30 p.m. outside of the Georgian Bay Ballroom. Dinner will be served in the Ballroom beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the dance. “Jonesy,” a popular band made up of five unique personalities from the Niagara Region, will be returning to provide entertainment at the Ball. The band plays a wide variety of music – from classic hits to modern rock anthems to dance hits – and is looking forward to another great evening with our group.

Dress Code: Attendees may choose Mess Kit/Black Tie/Cocktail Dress/Evening Gown

Sunday May 6 Morning
